One with the Wild

Feeling like an eagle soaring through the open air across the miles. Strong, independent and free to take on all that is blown this way. At ease and comfort in the peacefulness of pure nature. At a safe distance high above the ground, in a different world far from the urban forest below. Resisting the temptation to get lost in the night sky with only the moon guiding the way. Wait until the sun rises with a better idea of where to go. Feeling like the only one in the sky at times and lost in the crowds of chaos at others. Not guided by what the herds, society and media want. Free to roam and create an individual path paved for a destination with no boundaries. Flying alone or in the midst of the pack, no journey is too challenging to survive. Focused to soar far and fulfill all dreams imagined. Often flying by too fast with no time to rest or soak it the surroundings. Need to remember to just cruise through and look around. Following no planned direction, only an idea of a route to migrate. Feeling lost at times and in total control at others. Never forgetting to go back to the roots of the tree where the nest of this life was formed. Not straying too far from the morals and values that were ingrained. Staying steady and calm as the stream flowing beneath but also able to let loose with the wild wind that flows across the terrain. One half is confined to the ways of the world living calm, cool and collective. While the other half is pushing its limits to live on the edge of excitement. A good balance to an undefinable travel. Striving for adventure and new occurrences to mix up the normality. Wanting to see and experience all that is possible. Never becoming too enraged by the problems of the wild but rather more restrained to work it out in the tranquility of peace. Just flowing with the direction of the wind, not knowing what is up ahead. Wondering which way it will lead but trusting with heart and soul it will be okay. Believing that fate along with perseverance will guide this life to destiny. Excited to experience the future but living in the moment. Working towards creating the dream imagined of a family of our own, a house to call home, the one to be with until eternity and conquering all my aspirations.

Perched high on the side of a mountain top when things get too tough, to gaze over everything from afar. A break from life in the wild and the stress that comes with it. Seeing everything that has already been blessed this way. Taking the time to breathe and enjoy the simple things, the natural beauty that surrounds us. Walking on the beach on a sunny summer’s day, hiking up a mountain to see breathtaking views, watching the different colors of the sun as it sets over the horizon.

High above the greediness of the world below, it is easier to notice true inner beauty and not get pulled down into the shallowness of many. What you see flying through the thin air is what is real, no facade. When the hunting and gathering of the day is done, when all the obligations are finished, the eagle can set sail with no worries weighing down. Getting the job done but having fun. Everyday is a new opportunity for a another unforgettable memory.

Always flying over to check on the ones that matter most: family and friends. Ready to pick you up out of the tear filled water when your days are dark, an extra wing to help get your feet on the ground and a defender against your predators. Don’t follow what the call of the wild yells but by feeling the heart and the natural instincts it possesses. Worked hard to get everywhere this life has migrated, not taking the easy flight. Helped out others in every way known and been true to a fault. Hoping the perception of a fulfilling life ahead will be more than imagination but a reality. Determined to get the most of out of this existence, being able to enjoy all it has to offer.
Most important in this life are the ones who join us on our journey through the air, the experiences made everyday and following the passion that burns deep within. Not about the objects we accumulate or the money we make but the memories created. For those are the only things we can take with us on our ascending flight to the heavens.
